The Longest Yard???

It always seems that the last mile is always the longest...  CASCO is still waiting to receive a few chrome pieces to finish the bumpers (which is ultimately my fault since I had a local company do that and they took awhile to get them ready).  There is also some minor cosmetic work still needed, convertible top adjustment, etc. but there's no rush at this point.  I hope to go up to Ohio early to mid May to inspect the car and they will deliver it soon after that to VA.  It is still planned to pit stop in Alliance before bringing the car to Virginia.

At any rate, I hope you appreciate the pictures below as much as I did from April.  I did not intend to let anyone see the car this far along, until after it was delivered and unveiled in Alliance and VA.... but I caved since the car is delayed slightly.  Therefore, these will be the last pics posted until after the car is officially delivered.

The undercarriage hasn't looked that good since it left the factory over 50 years ago.

Door panels, horn ring still need to be installed... but this shows the detail most folks never see.

Ok - so that's all you get to see until after the car is complete....   It's a pretty good peek though. (There ain't much left...) I truly look forward to unveiling the car in Alliance within the next month.  I plan to do so at "Grove's Appliance" in Alliance (Hey it rhymes!!!)  but I haven’t asked Charlie Grove yet so we'll see - I am assuming he'll be receptive to the idea.  Take care all – Steve
